Rocket Fish (Winner of the 2023 SOFA JAM!!)

Battle your friends in this "simple but deep" 2-4 player local multiplayer game.

The first fish to escape the aquarium wins! Rocket your fish by pressing A on your controller and watch out for Corky the angry cork.


This one button physics game was made for Sofa Jam 2023 hosted by PeaPod Games. Watch the awesome people at Peapod play the game and have fun!

Controls

Played with 2-4 xbox controllers. Press A to join anytime.

  • A button - Rocket your fish
  • Start - Reset game
  • Select - Quit game

Keyboard Controls

The game is made for controllers but if you want to try it using the keyboard.  

  • leftCtrl -  Rocket your fish
  • rightCtrl -  Rocket your fish
  • Enter - Reset game
  • Esc - Quit game

You can change the names of the fishes!

If you feel a like hacking the game a little you can change the names of the fishes by editing a text file called save_the_fish.ini

This file is created the first time you run the game and you find it by typing %appdata% in your file explorer and then navigate to AppData\Local\Rocketfish

Edit the file in notepad and save it.

If you mess up the file you can just delete it and rerun the game.
